KIA started its operation in Pakistan in 2018 in a joint venture with Lucky Motors. since then KIA has introduced its passenger car lineup mostly based on crossover SUVs. Recently KIA prices increase due to Capital Value Tax.

In the budget 2022 to 2023, it was announced that the capital value tax of 1% will be applicable on the purchase of any car which is 1300 cc engine size and above.

As almost all the cars of KIA leaving out the Picanto are above 1300cc following prices were communicated to KIA dealerships across the country so they can invoice the customer accordingly for the new orders.
